What is Micro grid?
In a world where the electricity grid lags behind technologically, the reduction in the cost of solar energy and storage makes it economically viable to produce as close as possible to the places of consumption and to integrate storage systems and sometimes additional ones in order to save on building new networks and lower electricity prices for specific consumers. Of course, the issue is tailored to areas where the land is fenced or a storage facility is possible to build, and less so to huge, central cities where the land is very expensive.

Solar fencing
About 60 moshavim and community settlements in Israel are taking part in a joint project that is now becoming a national initiative, especially after the events of October 7th. With approved land set aside for solar fencing, this project is focused on bringing energy security and independence to local communities. We’re proud to be leading this important effort, and we hope the Israeli regulator will help move it forward by supporting the development of microgrid systems across the country.
Agro Solar
Land in certain areas is expensive and a limited resource. Dual use for agriculture and energy does increase conservation costs, but it allows for nutritional security because the land allows for the production of important food that is of great value both economically and in terms of food safety. This is a challenge for the best agronomists to lead the optimal combinations for each region and type of soil.
